Spent a day with the family, including the spousal unit. He's been working 10 hours a day, 6 days a week basically. Today was the first day off until next Wednesday.

Overwork and burn out the employees so when they do get a day off, their family appreciates them more.

I see G@mes W@rkshop's genius here.

There's complaints about the condition of the store and the terrain building. It could be because there's no staff. When you're not fully staffed, what's going to happen? Things aren't going to get done. Who gets the blame? The people that are left. Does it take a brain surgeon to see that the working conditions aren't good? That you're burning out your employees?

People with families can't work all the time. The guys who don't have kids seem to think they can. That they should want to. Sure, if they were single and had no other responsibilities, there'd be no problem. But it's totally unreasonable to think that 60 hour work weeks are ok, especially with the crap that they shoot at these guys. The negativity is unreal. The remaining staff does nothing right.

They have kids at the tables and excited about the hobby, which is the objective. If you get people in excited about this, this is what brings in the money. There are other factors, but that's the main one. I believe the others have lost sight of the hobby.

At least the remaining don't totally base their performance on the negative higher-ups.

They're being set up to fail. They're being told that the plan for a certain thing is too grandiose and that no one will show. With that attitude, no one will show. It's probably grandiose if there's no dedication and follow through. I know some have it.
