Heavy the first blow

Then waves

That descends into ripples

My eyelids flutter

A dream forms

On the edge of my consciousness

Outside the drone

Of drunken laughter from

A neighboring pub

Mixes and latter mutates

With traffic�s purr

And a horns whisper

This is nightfall

Around me faces slide

Unto the floor

Sweet lips and biting wit give way to sleep.
